Welcome to Frome Allotment Association
Frome allotment association was formed in 1991 to administer allotments, on behalf of Mendip District Council and Frome Town Council.
In recent years all active sites have been passed from Mendip to the town council.
There are seven sites within the town, Welshmill, North Parade, Orchard Street, Singers knoll, Queens Road, Cranmore View and Mendip view.
In total some one hundred and fifteen plots are under cultivation. The sites vary in size from the largest at Welshmill with sixty four plots to the smallest at Cranmore View which has just three.
The current demand for organic gardening and ‘grow your own’ vegetables has meant a leap in demand for allotments over recent years.
With a waiting list of over eighty people, keen to grow veg and fruit, there is a real need for more sites within the town.
If you are interested in an allotment and would like to be added to the waiting list download an application form here
